The probability of sightings of cetaceans is very high all year round due to the good conditions that the marine environment offers to these species. Even so, on rare occasions, due to the unpredictability of wild animals, it can happen that they are not seen. In this case, Maxicat offers the opportunity to go out on another tour, on the day of your choice, subject to availability.

WHAT SHOULD I BRING WITH ME?

As our excursions include a swim stop, we recommend clothing appropriate for this activity, such as a swimming costume, towel and a change of clothes. change of clothes. We also suggest sun cream, hat, goggles, snorkelling equipment and in the winter months, a warm jacket.

If you are in doubt if you get seasick, for the greatest enjoyment of the excursion, ask your pharmacist about seasickness pills.

HOW TO GET THERE? WHAT TIME?

We are located in Costa Adeje, Puerto Colon, dock Nº 9, in the south of Tenerife.

If you have your own transport, we recommend that you consider that this is a busy tourist area, and parking spaces are limited.

The port has its own park lot, with an approximate cost of 1,20€ per day.

We have our own transport, with previous reservation, from various points in the south of Tenerife. We recommend 15 minutes before departure time.

CAN THE ITINERARY ON BOARD BE MODIFIED?

Yes, we adapt to the clients’ needs, depending on the reserved hours, our onboard staff will offer you different options. Our sailing range is from Palm Mar to Los Gigantes.

WHAT SHOULD I BRING?

It is recommended to bring sun protection: sunglasses, hat, sunscreen. Except for the summer months, a sweater or jacket. For the full enjoyment of the experience, if you deem it necessary, we recommend taking motion sickness pills before sailing.

WHAT TIME SHOULD I ARRIVE?

The rental hours of the boat will start counting from the agreed time with the customer, whether the boat is sailing or in port. Therefore, we recommend you to arrive 10 minutes before that time.

  Picked up from our hotel and taken to the marina, on board with a complimentary sangria in a few minutes with plenty of seats.  We headed out to sea for about 20 mins and found a pod of pilot whales then a pod of dolphins turned up to play with the boat.  We had a short stop in a bay for a swim then back on board for lunch and a couple more sangria then headed back to the marina.  The 3 hours flew by and the crew were very helpful and pleasant.
